Brows / Brow Correction

Semi Permanent Make-up (SPMU) brows are done by using either a needle or a blade to deposit pigment into the skin. Unlike traditional tattoos that will last forever, SPMU brows will last 1-4 years without a touchup and will fade in time (up to 80%). Retention depends on your skin type, the technique you choose and your lifestyle. We recommend our clients to come in annually to colour boost.

PMU brows are the perfect solution if you:

  • Have sparse hair growth
  • Over plucked your brows in the past
  • Struggle with asymmetry (brows never match)
  • Have thin brow hairs
  • Are tired of filling them in everyday
  • Have hair loss from alopecia or other conditions

You are not a good candidate for PMU brows if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Are on Accutane any time in the past year
  • Are on blood thinners or certain antibiotics
  • Had a facial chemical peel, laser resurfacing or severe sunburn in the past 2 months
  • Had botox done to your brow area in the last 4 weeks
  • Are prone to keloid scarring (for microblading clients)

Brow Techniques

  • We recommend this technique only for people under 25 years of age and have dry skin. It is because of possible scarring issues and collagen production slows down by the age of 25-30. We want to make sure clients can heal from this procedure fast
  • Done by using a disposable microblade to manually create natural hair strokes that give a light, feathery look
  • Scratches and deposits pigment on epidermis layer of the skin

  • Done by using a single-point needle and tattoo machine to create natural hair strokes that give a light feathery look (similar look as Microblading)
  • Retention is better than Microblading for oily skin
  • Suitable for all skin types

  • Done by using a single-point needle and tattoo machine to mimic penciled in / powdery brows
  • Lighter at the front and gradually darkens towards the tail
  • Soft and airy yet well-defined look
  • Suitable for all skin types

  • Is a combination of nano + ombré techniques
  • Suitable for all skin types

Brow Color Corrections

  • Using advanced color theory to mask an old brow tattoo that has turned into any color other than brown such as grey, red, purple, orange, or pink.
  • The goal is to:
    • Correct the current tattoo color
    • Reshape for perfect symmetry
    • Create a brand new set of brows
* Complimentary add-on for existing clients when booked with a regular touch up appointment

Generally speaking our clients are very satisfied with one correction session, however depending on the saturation level of the existing tattoo, it may require more than 1 correction session to achieve the desired result. Please book a virtual consultation first before booking an appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. We use primary numbing cream prior to starting the procedure and once the skin is open we use secondary numbing throughout the entire procedure. Our clients say the discomfort level is none to very minimal.
  • When it comes to technique, machine work hurt much less less than microblading.
  • We will always make sure you are completely comfortable throughout the entire procedure.
  • Typically we book annual touch ups for clients right after their initial appointment. This annual appointment is to freshen up the color and shape of their brows and if clients don’t feel the need then we reschedule it out to 18 months to 24 months.
  • Clients with oilier skin may need to come in earlier as the pigment tends to fade quicker than those with normal or dry skin.
  • Our touch ups are priced in tiers depending on when you last came in.
  • Immediately after the procedure: there may be some redness and tenderness on your brows and the surrounding area.
  • Day 1-7: During the first 7 days of healing beginning immediately after your tattoo, you may experience the following symptoms: swelling and redness, tenderness, flaking, mild itchiness, dryness. Also, it is common to feel overwhelmed with how dark they appear at first. They will heal 20-30% lighter.
  • Day 7-14: Light flaking/peeling of the skin on the brows will begin during days 5-14. It is common to feel dry and itchy during the scabbing process. DO NOT PICK, PEEL OR RUB scabs as this may prematurely remove color which will cause your brows to heal unevenly and too light. Allow scabs to flake away by itself.
  • Day 14-20: Due to the contrast between the dark scabs and lighter skin underneath, you may feel that everything is peeling off and nothing is left underneath. The colour will gradually come back after scabbing is completed.
  • Day 20-30: DAY 20 – 30: Scabbing should be near the end and you will notice yourself getting used to the new shape and colour of the healed brows. Make sure the scabbing is completely done before going back to your regular routines.

*Keep in mind that everyone heals differently and this timeline is just for your reference. If you have any questions or concerns during the healing process, don’t hesitate to contact us!
