Eyeliner/Eyeliner Correction

Permanent make-up eyeliner is done by using a tattoo machine and needle to deposit pigments into your eyelid skin, recreating the look of wearing eyeliner that will last day by day without any smudging. Unlike traditional tattoos that will last forever, eyeliner tattoos will last 1-5 years without a touchup and will fade in time, but not completely. Retention depends on your skin type and your lifestyle.

PMU eyeliner is the perfect solution if you:

  • Are tired of racoon eyes from smudging eyeliner makeup
  • Want to look more awake with little effort
  • Don’t know how to shape eyeliner wings properly
  • Want to save time every morning
  • Have light eyelashes and want a lash line enhancement
  • Have hair loss from alopecia or other conditions

You are not a good candidate for PMU eyeliner if you:

  • Are currently using any lash serums (need to be off it at least 3 months)
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Are on blood thinners or certain antibiotics
  • Had a facial chemical peel, laser resurfacing or severe sunburn in the past 2 months
  • Are prone to keloid scarring
  • Have skin conditions in that area

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. We use primary numbing cream prior to starting the procedure and once the skin is open we use secondary numbing throughout the entire procedure. Our clients say the discomfort level is none to very minimal
  • We will always make sure you are completely comfortable throughout the entire procedure
  • Typically clients like to come in once a year to freshen up the color and sharpen the wings of their eyeliner, or whenever they feel like they need it
  • Clients with oilier skin may need to come in more often as the pigment tends to fade quicker than those with normal or dry skin
  • Our touch ups are priced in tiers depending on when you last came in
  • At the beginning of the appointment, your artist will design the entire eyeliner onto your eyelids using a gel pen. The shape they design will be based on your eye shape and your preferences to thickness and length of the eyeliner.
  • Your artist will continue to erase and redesign the eyeliner until you are 100% happy with how it looks before proceeding.
  • Please wait until all your lash extensions have fallen off before coming in for the eyeliner tattoo procedure.
  • Alternatively, we can remove your eyelash extensions for you at the studio for a fee ($30).
  • Day 1-5: during the first 4 days of healing beginning immediately after your tattoo, you may experience the following symptoms: mild swelling and redness, tenderness, flaking, mild itchiness, dryness.
  • Day 5-10: light flaking/peeling of the skin on the eyeliners will begin during days 5-10. DO NOT PICK, PEEL OR RUB your eyes as this may prematurely remove color which will cause your eyeliners to heal unevenly. Allow the color to flake away by itself.
  • During healing: do not expose your eyeliners to direct sunlight, any sort of makeup, skincare, tanning treatments, jacuzzis, saunas, saltwater, chlorinated pools, or direct shower spray. Do not bleach, wax, perform electrolysis or laser hair removal treatments close to your eyes.

Unsanitary aftercare can lead to inflammation. If this occurs, please visit the closest walk-in clinic for help. The approximate healing period is 14 days, however, healing can be prolonged if your immune system is compromised, if you are generally stressed, or from a poor diet. Keep in mind that in many cases, some unevenness of color is to be expected. This is why you may need to book a touch-up appointment – allowing us to fine-tune your eyeliner tattoo.
